GILMER SUPERINTENDENT SEEKING PLEASANTS COUNTY OPENING

(08/03/2006)
Pleasants County is looking at candidates who have applied to be their new school superintendent.

During a public meeting yesterday, candidates Ed Toman and Joe Super introduced themselves to the public and answer questions at the St. Marys High School auditorium.

Toman is superintendent of Gilmer County Schools and Super is assistant superintendent of Randolph County Schools.

The candidates addressed comments about volunteers in the school system and knowing which children were not meeting academic performance criteria.
