Thomas G. "Tom" Bowen, 54 - Spencer

Thomas G. "Tom" Bowen, 54, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, in the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, after a short illness.

Tom was born January 1, 1952, in Akron, Ohio, a son of the late Rev. John W. and L. Ruth Bartlett Bowen. He was a born again Christian and served as a deacon at the Spencer Tabernacle Church, Spencer. Also, he worked ten years for the Roane County Board of Education as a bus driver.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. "Trish" Fox Bowen of Spencer; two daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Tim Couch of Vienna & Jennifer and Andy Kinder of Spencer; two brothers, Garry Bowen and David Bowen both of Spencer; one sister, Cathy Snodgrass of Spencer; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A memory service was held Saturday, July 15 in the Spencer Tabernacle Church with Pastor Loren Price as host.

John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, was in charge of arrangements.
