CULPRITS B & E HIGH SCHOOL CONCESSION STAND

Authorities are investigating a breaking and entering at Calhoun High-Middle School's concession stand, adjacent the football field. CM-HS principal Karen Kirby said the intruders broke a lock and entered the stand the weekend of July 21-23. Although attempts were made to open cabinets and other items were moved around, nothing was taken. Kirby said greater security efforts will be made to protect the school complex, which already has visible and concealed video cameras. A person or persons broke and entered a basement window of the Mt. Zion UM Church, taking an undisclosed amount of cash in a collection jar. It has been learned, individuals broke and entered the concession stand at Wayne Underwood Field, taking merchandise.
