ARC HELPS SMALL BUSINESSES WITH TECHNOLOGY

(06/30/2006)
About 450 small businesses can apply for enrollment in a nearly one- million dollar program directed toward helping them use technology to succeed.

The Mission West Virginia Technology Academy will choose participants based on their records of promoting collaboration, responding to community needs and demonstrating good planning.

The Appalachian Regional Commission and nonprofit Mission West Virginia are organizing the venture, with computers donated by Verizon West Virginia and software donated by Microsoft.

Governor Manchin says the ability of partners to come together like this is a tremendous asset for all of West Virginia.
