Four Calhoun County teens and Carlene Frederick attended the state RAZE-On at Charleston University, Charleston, WV on June 11-13.
Grace Keafferaber, Florence Parsons, Beth Richards and Jacob Richards, members of the Calhoun RAZE team joined teens from across the state and experienced many team building activities.
The group attended workshop training in computers, media, presentation and skills, as well as learning new "Commotions."
Raze members also met nationally acclaimed speakers, including, Winston Man, Dave Goerlitz, Ethan Teicher of the "Bob Quits" TV show, and Dr. Jeffrey Wigand, for whom the movie "The Insider," was based. Members heard their stories and listened to "Lifting the Smokescreen-the Truth About Tobacco Advertising" and "Inside the Tobacco Industry."
The group also enjoyed a Karaoke and Game Show night, a dance, Party King Blow Ups, Night Glow Bolley Ball and an ice cream social.
