CAR FLIPS DURING DRIZZLE NEAR BIG BEND

A car flipped on its top Sunday afternoon, sending a five-year-old to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center for evaluation of what was reported to be minor injuries.

The child was secured in a restraint. The driver and another passenger were not injured.

The accident occurred during a slow drizzle on Rt. 5 near the intersection of Carroll Road.

Calhoun EMS and the Grantsville VFD responded to the accident.

A second single-vehicle accident not far from the same spot was reported at 8 p.m. Sunday, with Calhoun EMS responding to the scene, occupants were out of the vehicle.
