WALKING THE WALK - 2006 Relay For Life

They came to honor, remember and fight the fight against cancer RAZE members are "Razing the stakes against cancer" Red Hatters came to walk the walk Relay for Life this past weekend was a time to remember those taken by cancer, but it was also a celebration of life for those who have survived the disease. The event, originally scheduled for Wayne Underwood Field, was moved inside to CM-HS due to predicted rain. Last year the event raised about $26,000. Hundreds of Calhoun and regional residents participated in the fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, an all-night event with constant walkers on the Relay Track, marching in the fight against cancer. Local relay groups set up food booths, provided entertainment and organized activities. The luminary-candle ceremony was held in remembrance of those who have died from cancer. 2006 RELAY FOR LIFE
