Robert G. Carder, 68 - Formerly of Calhoun

Robert Guy Carder, 68, of Hillview Terrace, Vienna, passed away June 23, 2006, at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Gilmer County, a son of the late Jud and Mildred Carder. He worked as a taxi cab driver and served in the U.S. Navy. Surviving are two sons, Robert Jr. and Leonard Paul Carder; a granddaughter, Brandy Carder; a brother, Roy Carder; two sisters, Ruby Gene Hayden and Rosetta Gay Deavers; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Orpha Johnson and Angie Anderson. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Kimes Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with Evangelist John W. Rockhold III officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Monday until service time.
