JUDGE NIBERT HEARING FOUR FELONY CASES

(06/21/2006)
Judge David W. Nibert is hearing a motion today in Grantsville by John M. Richards to withdraw a plea agreement he made earlier, related to charges over stolen goods.

Nibert granted Richards' request at his recent sentencing hearing, with Richards claiming he was "under pressure" when he agreed to the terms.

The plea agreement was reportedly made regarding information Richards had involving a murder case in Roane County, although reports indicate Richards' testimony was not prevalent to the case.

The court is also conducting a pre-trial hearing today for John Hickman, a status on the home confinement of Alfred Glen Rose, Jr., and the arraignment of Gary Lee Nicholson.
