CALHOUN-GILMER WRITERS RECEIVE AWARDS

Three Calhoun-Gilmer writers received awards at the annual West Virginia Writers Conference at Cedar Lakes Conference Center.

Award-winning Calhoun writer Jeanne Wilson of Grantsville won third-place awards in Short Story and Very Short Story for "A Measure of Truth" and "Psychological Help."

Other area winners are Lisa Sheldon, Creston, third place in Short Poetry for her story "Post-Funeral Feasting."

Gilmer writer Harriet Whipkey received honorable mention for "Hibernating Hamsters."
