Audra M. Shields, 82, of Spencer, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at the Walton Inn, Walton. She was born March 13, 1924 at Spencer, a daughter of the late John James and Bertha Loutichia Black Batten. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Early D. Miller; one daughter, Sharon Lynn Miller Burgess. She was a homemaker. Survivors include five sons, Gary Bruce Miller of Pahrump, NV, Stephen Quentin Miller of Mt. Zion, Dannie Lee Miller of Orlando, FL, John Michael Miller of Sanford, FL and Randy Scott Miller of Puyallup, WA; one sister, Edna R. Starcher of Spencer; 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted, Thursday, June 15 at 7 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Bess officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday. Her body will be cremated.
