CALHOUN HIGH SAYS GOODBYE TO DEPARTING STAFF

The staff at Calhoun Middle-High School said good-bye on June 5 to four teachers who are retiring and others who are leaving the school for other pursuits.

Pictured (left to right) are Bessie Welch who began her school career in 1968; Mr. Cokey Gainer who started teaching science in 1980; Pam Bartlett who has taught math since 1975; and Russ Ferrell has been the PE instructor since 1976.

Also leaving the school this year is principal Michael Offutt who has worked in the system since 1978 and is taking a position with Roane County Board of Education. Ms. Amber Ganoe is transferring to Pleasant Hill School and Mr. Jim Morgan and Mrs. Evelyn Fulks will be going to Arnoldsburg School.
