Pearl Reed, 88 - Grantsville

Pearl Reed, 88, of Grantsville, WV died Sunday, May 21, 2006 at Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center, Grantsville. She was born June 16, 1917 a daughter of the late Okey and Annie Cunningham Shimer. She married Loyd Reed March 29, 1939 who preceded her in death on August 24, 1995. She is survived by two sons, Timothy L. Reed and his wife Thelma of Cutler, Ohio and David L. Reed of Grantsville, WV; two daughters, Euna Reed of Grantsville and Phyllis J. Whipkey of Grantsville; 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Goldie Richards, Blanche Kendall, Pauline Cline and Arthelia Richards. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, David Reed and sisters, Clareth Wilson, Ollie Ford and Virginia Williams. Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville on Thursday, May 25 at 11 a.m. Rev. Carroll McCauley will officiate. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Grantsville. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m.
