CLARENCE "BUD" HARRIS - Stumptown

Clarence "Bud" Harris, 72, of Stumptown, died July 15 in Marietta Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Born at Stumptown, he was the son of the late Alva and Delpha Dobbins Harris.

He was a veteran of the Korean war and retired from Larson Consolidated of Grafton, Ohio with 38 years service. He enjoyed bluegrass and gospel music and was an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Rush Run Baptist Church at Stumptown and the Rush Run CEO's club.

Surviving, sisters, Deloris Lyons of Brunswick, Ohio; Minnie Stalnaker of Grafton, Ohio; Nellie Settle of Petroleum; Sue Morton of Harrisville and Lou Miller and Lyda Harris, both of Stumptown.

Brothers, Alva (Sonny) Harris of Mineral Wells and Sam Harris of Grafton, Ohio.

He was also preceded in death by sisters, Betty McCune and Wanda Harris, and a brother, Kenneth (Mike) Harris.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Rush Run Baptist Church at Stumptown. Rev. Lewis Villers will officiate. Burial in Collins Cemetery at Stumptown. Visitation from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville.
