The contractor who is replacing over 100 windows in the Calhoun County courthouse and jail annex, began work this past weekend on the old jail building.

The project is being done through a $56,000 courthouse securities grant.

The old single-pane windows were not energy efficient, and many were in disrepair.

The replacement windows will lower the energy costs for the buildings.
