Vandal had been in ICU following a gunshot wound on April 30th. The gun was reportedly a .44 magnum.

State Police say Vandal was shot in the left arm pit and chest area, during an altercation in a remote area of Ritchie County, not far from the Wirt County line.

Police have charged Charles Richard "Bucky" Bell, 39, of Annamoriah with attempted murder.

Bell has been released on $25,000 bond.
