CALHOUN MAN RE-SENTENCED AFTER APPEAL

(05/13/2006)
Judge David Nibert, following an appeal, has changed the sentencing he earlier issued against Millstone resident Jamie Burch, 24, for his part in the operation of an illegal meth lab.

Nibert ruled this week that Burch could serve the rest of his sentence on home confinement.

He had been sentenced in March to 1-5 years in jail.

Burch had been attending a treatment program, after acknowledging a problem and had been cooperative with authorities.

Burch and two other individuals were arrested in Roane County, related to a "rolling meth lab."
