15 YEARS AGO: HANNA LAW IS QUEEN FLORA XLIV - Wood Festival Royalty

Miss Hanna Danielle Law was crowned Queen Flora XLIV on May 6 at the annual Queen Flora Pageant sponsored by the Calhoun County Wood Festival.

Hanna is the 16-year-old daughter of Danny and Alicia Law of Five Forks. She was crowned by Queen Flora XLIII-Miss Casey Westfall, 2005.

Queen Flora will reign over the 44th annual Wood Festival, and appear today in the parade, which starts at 1 p.m.

The five contestants that vied for the crown were judged in fitness wear, street wear, evening gown, talent and on-stage interview.

First Runner-Up, Miss Courtney McKown was also winner of the People's Choice Award and Talent competition, as well as being selected Miss Photogenic and Miss Congeniality. She is the 17 year old daughter of Wendell and Chris McKown of Orma.

Second Runner-Up, Miss Amanda Alcarez-May is the 17 year old daughter of Gary and Veronica May of Arnoldsburg.

Miss Hanna Law won the Interview category.

Princesses are Miss Jamie Kennedy and Miss Tiffany Swisher. Jamie is the 16 year old daughter of Errol and Dorothy Kennedy of Grantsville. Tiffany is the 17 year old daughter of Bobby and Marcia Swisher of Pleasant Hill.
