OLD ALTIZER STORE AND POST OFFICE HAS FIRE - Firemen Extinguish Blaze Quickly

Building rests along West Fork at mouth of Sinking Springs

A fire erupted in some old hay stored in the old Altizer store and post office shortly after twelve noon Saturday. Members of the Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Department quickly extinguished the smoldering fire.

The abandoned building is at the mouth of Sinking Springs on the lower West Fork road near the Stony Point Church.

Firemen dispatched their new pumper truck and a second apparatus. Calhoun EMS also responded.
