Geraldine (Jerry) Ball, 92 - Grantsville

Geraldine (Jerry) Ball, 92, of Grantsville, West Virginia, formerly of Sissonville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on April 27, 2006, at Ohio Valley Health Care in Parkersburg, surrounded by her family.

Jerry was a member of Knotts United Methodist Church of Grantsville, and a former member of Humphreys United Methodist Church of Sissonville. Jerry was a faithful member of the WSCS Women's Group for years. She has served her church as a representative to the annual conference at Buckhannon and always participated in the Spiritual Life Retreat at Jackson's Mills.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everette and Mae Miller; husband, Manard Ball; son, Joseph Ball; sister, Betty Gainer; and brother, Gibb Miller.

She is survived by her sons, Dallas Ray Ball (Dick) and wife, Ginger, of Cairo, WV, and Robert Lee Ball (Bob) and wife, Patsy, of Sissonville; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with the Rev. Mary Zimmer officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Grantsville. Visitation will be two hours before the service, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Ohio Valley Health Care for the wonderful care that was given to their mother.
