THREE GRANTSVILLE STREETS RE-SURFACED

(04/29/2006)

The entire length of Pine ...

... and Calhoun Streets were resurfaced
yesterday in south Grantsville ...

... plus Florence Street between Rt. 5 and 16,
between Dollar General and Rite-Aid

Major improvements were made to three Grantsville streets yesterday with asphalt re-surfacing, according to Mayor Wilbert Kerby.

The streets were scheduled for paving last fall, said the Mayor, but cold weather interfered with the projects.

Carl Kelley Paving completed projects on Florence Street in downtown Grantsville, in addition to two streets in south Grantsville - Pine and Calhoun.

Kerby said these three streets had the most potholes and were in really bad shape, indicating he is hopeful additional funding can be obtained to pave other town streets.
