Calhoun County Board of Education and Head Start are working as partners to provide expanded preschool services to children and families in Calhoun County.

There will be an additional preschool classroom opening at Arnoldsburg Elementary School for the 2006-2007 school year. There are currently two preschool classrooms at Pleasant Hill Elementary. Each school will have two preschool classrooms beginning next year.

The Board of Education and Head Start are currently taking applications for all 4 year olds as well as 3 year olds. Four year olds will have top priority for entrance into the Calhoun County Pre School program.

The goal of Calhoun County Board of Education and Head Start is offer preschool to all Calhoun County 4 year olds and their families. It is a proven fact that children who have preschool experience do better with academics and social skills after attending Pre School.

The current Head Start building in Grantsville will be moved ...

... to this location at Arnoldsburg Elementary School
