| By David Hedges Publisher www.thetimesrecord.net A woman charged with involuntary manslaughter for providing methadone to a man who drowned in his bathtub was sentenced to prison Monday. Cristal Coon, 24, of Spencer returned to Roane Circuit Court after undergoing a court-ordered evaluation. Judge Tom Evans ordered the 60-day evaluation after Coon pled guilty in January to felony charges of delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and a misdemeanor charge of involuntary manslaughter. Evans had rejected an earlier plea agreement to three felony charges because he said Coon did not take any responsibility for the death of 18-year-old Benjamin Murray. Coon was originally charged with murder in connection with the death of Murray, who was found dead in his bathtub after a night of partying in March 2004. Rest of the story ...
