WHIPKEY YOUTH'S FUNERAL SET THURSDAY

A funeral for a Calhoun youth who died Sunday in an ATV accident on Road Run near Arnoldsburg has been scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at the Arnoldsburg Community Building, according to the John H. Taylor Funeral Home of Spencer.

Services for Micheal Paul Whipkey, II, will be conducted by Pastor Alfred Hickman with burial in the Kight Cemetery, White Pine Road.

Friends may call at the community building from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Whipkey was born March 31, 1989, in Spencer, a son of Micheal Paul and Nancy Jean Poorman Whipkey. He was an 11th grade student at Calhoun Middle-High School. He enjoyed auto mechanics and camping.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Jeremy Poling and one sister, Stacy Poling both of Arnoldsburg; paternal grandmother, Hester Curry of Mt. Zion; maternal grandparents, Richard and Ruth Poorman of Sand Ridge; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ralph Whipkey, Sr.
