An out-of-state motorcyclist was injured on US 33-119 on Sand Ridge Hill Sunday evening. He was taken to Roane General Hospital by Calhoun EMS shortly after the 6:15 p.m. accident.

He was traveling with several other bikers taking a tour of the region.

Sources at the scene indicated the man was not critically injured.

The cyclist lost control in a sharp turn a short distance down from the top of the hill on the Gilmer County side.
