CRI ANNOUNCES FUNDS TO HELP WITH EMERGENCY REPAIRS

(03/31/2006)
Community Resources, Inc. announces that funds are available for HELP repairs.

The purpose of the HELP program is to provide funds for "emergency repairs" to owner occupied structures.

While not strictly defined, "emergency" in this context includes any structural or construction problem that threatens the health or safety of the inhabitants.

HELP is geared toward owner occupants at or below 80% (low-income) of the area median household income.

The rate and term is three percent (3%) interest for eight-years (96-months). The minimum loan is $1,000 with a soft ceiling limit of $7,500.

Zero percent (0%) interest deferred loans will be granted to applicants age 62 or older with incomes below 30% of area median income. The deferred payment loan would become due upon death, on the sale or transfer of the property.

HELP funds cannot be used to repair a structure located in the 100-year flood plain, or a structure damaged by flooding, unless the owner can document (by a copy of the policy, letter from his agent, binder, etc.) they have flood insurance and must maintain that insurance for the life of the loan.

Please contact your local office of Community Resources, Inc for further information or to apply for HELP funds.

All loans will be serviced by West Virginia Housing Development Fund.
