SAND RIDGE MAN ACCUSED OF ALTERING LICENSE PLATE

Sand Ridge resident Scott Lee Stone, 30, was arrested on a felony charge of forgery to an automobile registration in Roane County, according to the Times-Record. Police reportedly discovered Stone driving a vehicle which had a handwritten alternate number. The report said the man added a "1" to an expiration date of a temporary license plate. He was also charged with driving suspended, second offense, among other charges. He was arraigned by Magistrate Russell Goodwin and released on $900 bond.
