Fire completely destroyed a detached garage near a residence on Big Root Road this morning at 7 a.m.
The Grantsville VFD responded to the blaze with two trucks, but the garage was a total loss when they arrived.
Also destroyed was an auto and lawn mower, in addition to the contents of the garage.
The flames scorched the nearby house, which is located about five miles from Rt.5.
Calhoun EMS also responded to the call.
