FOUR BANKS IN RITCHIE COUNTY SOLD

WesBanco has sold four branch banks in Ritchie County to Union Bank. The Middlebourne-based Union Bank has acquired WesBanco's branches in Harrisville, Cairo, Pennsboro and Ellenboro. Union will now operate eight offices in Tyler, Wetzel, Pleasants and Ritchie counties. Most of the former WesBanco workers will be kept. The Wheeling-based WesBanco is a holding company with nearly four-and-a-half billion dollars in assets. It operates 81 banking offices and two loan production offices in West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, along with WesBanco Insurance Services and WesBanco Securities.
