TEMPORARY BRIDGE WILL OPEN RT. 14 TO TRAFFIC

Temporary bridge on Rt. 14 could be open within weeks eliminating detours (Photo courtesy of John Griffin) Progress is being made on the installation of a temporary bridge on State Rt. 14, six miles south of Elizabeth. The Lee Bridge was declared unsafe for traffic last fall and regional residents have been detouring. Rt. 14 is a frequently used route from Spencer to Parkersburg. The WVDH has not announced when the bridge will be open for service, but it could be within a few weeks.
