EASTERN ENERGY TRUCK FOUND ON MURDER MOUNTAIN - Stolen From Letherbark Site

(02/22/2006)
Clay County authorities retrieved a "chopped" 2004 Prime Energy Ford 350 service truck yesterday morning on Clay County's Murder Mountain.

Some of the equipment was reportedly found.

The Ford truck and what was described as expensive equipment was stolen early last week from the company site at Letherbark, Calhoun, along US 33-119.

Thieves, after failing to cut a lock, drove the truck through a fence during the early morning hours.

The thieves reportedly walked up a creek bed from the Letherbark Church to the fenced site.

Two other stolen vehicles were recovered from Murder Mountain last week, including a very expensive unit from Frontier Telephone in Clay.

A rash of stolen vehicles have been reported in Clay County.
