| Verlin P. Riggs, 76, of Little Hocking, Ohio, passed away February 19, 2006 at his home.
Born in Calhoun County, West Virginia, he was a son of the late William and Fannie Campbell Riggs. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and was retired from Nisan Trucking of Creston, Ohio. He was an avid fisherman and camper.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Riggs and daughter, Gloria Cook; stepdaughter, Jane Griffith and her husband Chuck; stepson, Ed Parsons and his wife Lori; brother, Bill Riggs and his wife Donna; sister, Janet McIntyre and her husband Jim; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; ; nephews, Mark Harris and Wayne Riggs.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, February 23 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, WV. Interment will be in the Bryner Chapel Cemetery near Mt. Zion.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service. |
