SLICK ROADS MAY BE CAUSE OF ACCIDENTS

(02/11/2006)
As snow continued to fall at dark Saturday evening and temperatures were falling, the area began to experience slick roads and accidents.

Calhoun EMS and the Arnoldsburg VFD responded to a single-vehicle accident at 6:10 p.m. on Letherbark, U. S. 33-119.

Sources at the scene indicated the driver was out of the vehicle and a passenger was experiencing "shortness of breath."

Either one or both of the occupants were taken to Roane General Hospital for evaluation.

Calhoun Control received a call regarding a car over a steep embankment near the intersection of Leading Creek Rd. and Rt. 16.

No driver or occupants of the vehicle were at the scene, according to the 6:30 p.m. report.
