SLICK ROADS MAY BE CAUSE OF ACCIDENTS |

As snow continued to fall at dark Saturday evening and temperatures were falling, the area began to experience slick roads and accidents. Calhoun EMS and the Arnoldsburg VFD responded to a single-vehicle accident at 6:10 p.m. on Letherbark, U. S. 33-119. Sources at the scene indicated the driver was out of the vehicle and a passenger was experiencing "shortness of breath." Either one or both of the occupants were taken to Roane General Hospital for evaluation. Calhoun Control received a call regarding a car over a steep embankment near the intersection of Leading Creek Rd. and Rt. 16. No driver or occupants of the vehicle were at the scene, according to the 6:30 p.m. report.
