SLICK ROADS MAY BE CAUSE OF ACCIDENTS

As snow continued to fall at dark Saturday evening and temperatures were falling, the area began to experience slick roads and accidents.

Calhoun EMS and the Arnoldsburg VFD responded to a single-vehicle accident at 6:10 p.m. on Letherbark, U. S. 33-119.

Sources at the scene indicated the driver was out of the vehicle and a passenger was experiencing "shortness of breath."

Either one or both of the occupants were taken to Roane General Hospital for evaluation.

Calhoun Control received a call regarding a car over a steep embankment near the intersection of Leading Creek Rd. and Rt. 16.

No driver or occupants of the vehicle were at the scene, according to the 6:30 p.m. report.
