CALHOUN EMS RESPOND TO AM ACCIDENTS

Calhoun EMS responded to two separate car accidents about 9:30 a.m. today, one in Ritchie County on State Rt. 16, between the Calhoun line and Smithville, and the second to the Five Forks-Big Springs area. Slick roads may have contributed to both wrecks. The Ritchie accident reportedly involved the vehicle leaving the highway and striking a tree. Calhoun EMS transported the victim to Camden-Clark Hospital. The Smithville VFD responded to the scene The vehicle in the Klipstine accident reportedly went over an embankment near the creek. The victim did not require medical treatment. The Grantsville VFD and State Police were responded to the Klipstine accident.
