Richard Cronin, 73 - Spencer

Richard Cronin, 73, of Spencer, West Vurginia, died Thursday, February 2, 2006, in the St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington.

He was born September 26, 1932, in Richwood, Nicholas County, a son of the late Daniel Francis and Iva Frances Liston Cronin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Timothy James Cronin; two daughters, Susan Carol Cronin and Joyce Ann Cronin; three brothers, Daniel Francis Cronin, Jr., Thomas Andrew Cronin and John Jacob Cronin; one sister, Agnes Cronin Vannater.

Mr. Cronin was the retired manager of the Food Haven-Big Star, Spencer store, with thirty years of service. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Spencer.

Survivors include his wife, Carol McClain Cronin of Spencer; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Dona Cronin of Parkersburg and Danny and Amy Cronin of Spencer; three grandchildren, Christian, Justin and Timmy Cronin; several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, February 6 at 11 a.m. in the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Spencer, with Rev. David Schmidtt as celebrant.

Friends may call at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, Sunday, from 6 to 9 p.m. where there will be a Scriptural Prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
