Lennie Bane Metz, 89, of Grantsville, West Virginia, died Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center, Grantsville. He was born August 24, 1916, a son of the late Dudley Andrew and Arizona Lee Miller Metz. He was a WWII veteran. He is survived by six children, Leonard Metz of Five Forks, Robert (Linda) Metz of Rockport, Sharon (Carl) Wilson, Karen (Alvin) Reed, Lennie B. (Nancy) Metz, Jr,. all of Parkersburg, and Delores (Jack) Whited of Pleasant Hill; grandchildren, Kenny, Britni and Ian Whited, Michelle, Michael, Jacon and Nickey Metz, Ellen Windon, Carl and Scott Wilson, Carol and Pam Myers; great grandchildren, Dalton Metz, Nathaniel and William Windon, Brady and Linsay Myers, Dalton Elliot and Kylee Thomas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Gearldine Eddy Metz; a son, Lewis Lee Metz; three sisters, and four brothers. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, February 6 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Reverends Carroll McCauley and Alfred Hickman will officiate. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Grantsville. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.
