TRUCK ROLLS-OVER ON GUARDRAILS - Vehicles Side-Swipe At Career Center

Calhoun EMS and the Upper West Fork VFD responded at 3:35 a.m. today to Rt. 16 near the mouth of Walker Rd. where a 1991 Chevy truck rolled-over, landing on the guardrails.

An early morning caller said they observed individuals walking from the area, while emergency services were responding.

State trooper 1st Class Jeff Hunt responded to the scene, identifying the vehicle belonging to Tom Cooper of Chloe.

Calhoun EMS, after leaving the accident scene, was called to the Cooper residence by officer Hunt to evaluate a person who was in the accident.

A two-vehicle collision sent at least two individuals to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center for medical evaluation yesterday evening.

The injuries did not appear to be serious.

A truck and a car side-swiped in front of the Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center about 4 p.m.

Calhoun EMS responded with two ambulances with the Grantsville VFD.

Trooper 1st Class Jeff Hunt is investigating the accident.

State Police investigated an accident Monday, near the intersection of Rt. 5 and Munday Road near Big Bend, where a large truck belonging to Erlewine Concrete left the highway and landed over a steep hillside. No one was injured.
