Calhoun County United Methodist Cooperative awarded High School Seniors Justin Hartshorn and Samara Church scholarships.
Justin, the son of
Lisa Prunty and Jeff
Hartshorn was awarded a $500 scholarship and Samara , daughter of Kim and Kevin Church was awarded a $250 scholarship.
These are the first scholarships to be awarded by the United Methodist Cooperative. Scholarships are awarded based on
church and community involvement and expression of the applicant's faith.
Pastor Mary Zimmer, Coordinator for the Cooperative stated that these scholarships were made possible through gifts from
individuals and United Methodist Churches within Calhoun County.
The Cooperative is excited about this new ministry and looks forward to awarding next years recipients.
