AMISH DEER HUNTERS FINED $5,000 OVER ILLEGAL DEER KILL

Three Amish hunters received big fines for illegally killing several deer in Roane County last season.

The fines and costs amounted to $5,000.

The three men, Owen Miller, 25, and Marvin Miller, 29, of Middlefield, Ohio, pled guilty to numerous charges, along with Leroy Miller, 23, of Orville, Ohio.

They returned to Roane magistrate court last week.

All three spent the night in Central Regional Jail, after a DNR officer caught them with several deer, at least two of the men was hunting without a license.
