COUNTY RACES SHAPE UP FOR MAY PRIMARY

Seven candidates have filed for Calhoun Board of Education, most of them at the last minute, and Washington District resident Kevin Helmick (D) filed for county commission, running against incumbent Larry McCallister(D). Last minute candidates could file by mail if their application is postmarked by midnight Saturday.

Center District resident Don Harris and Lee District resident Rick Fitzwater decided not to run for school board again.

School Board Candidates, by District, three to be elected:

SHERIDAN - Carlene Frederick (incumbent)

SHERMAN - Sandra McCumbers and Steve Whited

LEE - Juanita Berdine and Lee Evans

CENTER - Mike Wilson, Donna Richards

A male and a female are to be elected from each district for the county Executive Committee from each party.
