| Tessie E. Doyle, 86, of Bad Axe, Ohio passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006 at the Huron County Medical Care Facility. She was born in Calhoun, Oct. 12, 1919 to the late James and Melinda (Perkins) Roberts. On April 23, 1945, she was united in marriage in Ohio to the late John T. Doyle. Mrs. Doyle was a resident of Verona Township since 1947. She graduated in Calhoun County High School in 1945, and was a civilian timekeeper for the Wright-Patterson military base in Ohio. She attended the Free Methodist Church in Bad Axe and was a former Eastern Star Member. She was employed with Hamill Manufacturing for 18 years and worked for the Bad Axe High School kitchen. She enjoyed Bible study, plants, sewing, and making her own clothes and quilts for the church. She is survived by five sons: Kenneth Doyle and his wife, Rose, of Ruth, Gerald Doyle of Bad Axe, David Doyle and his wife, Sue, of Bangkok, Thailand, Glen Doyle of Port Orchard, Wash., and Maurice Doyle of Bad Axe. Three brothers: Arlie Roberts of Lander, Wyo.., Denver Roberts and his wife, Paula, of W. Va., Bob Roberts and his wife, Faye, of Panama City, Fla.; one sister, Pat Bennet of Barberton, Ohio; 12 grandchildren: Kelly, Kenny, Robbie, Mary, Tami, Sheila, Johnny, Cory, Jamie, Shannon, Amber, and Jessica Doyle; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ted, Orin, and Bill Roberts; and one sister, Evelyn. Funeral services will be held at11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be offered to the donor's choice. |
