Dessie G. Brisendine, 89 - Walton

Dessie G. Brisendine, 89 years old, of Walton, W.Va., passed away at the home of her daughter on January 8, 2006, after a long illness.

She was born January 14, 1916, at Walton, to Mayford and Eva Hively.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Brisendine, on June 12, 1998; brothers, Elbe, Howard, and Emmet Hively; sisters, Ruth Droddy, Blanche Elmore, Jean Lambert, and Oretha Southall.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Alice Brisendine, daughter and son-in-law, Ruby and Delbert "Jim" Seabolt, all of Walton; sister Thelma Summers, of Walton; grandchildren, Ronald and Theresa Brisendine, Terri and Danny Marks, all of Walton, Steven Seabolt of Ripley, W.Va., and his fiancée, Denise of Spencer, W.Va.; great grandchildren, Rebecca and John Starcher of Spencer, Chad Brisendine, Danikka Marks, Franklin Wolfe, Danny Marks, Jr., and Jeanna Marks, all of Walton, Logan Seabolt and Chase Seabolt of Ripley; one great-great granddaughter, Kamryn Starcher of Spencer; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, January 11 at 1:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Paxton Cemetery on Long Ridge, Walton.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, at the funeral home.
