Edna Mae Kight - Grantsville

Edna Mae Kight, 88 of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away December 28, 2005 at Minnie Hamilton Health Care-Long Term Care Unit.

She was born April 23, 1917 in Ritchie County, the daughter of the late Harvey and Daisy Butcher Atkinson.

Edna was retired from the US Postal Service, having worked at the Five Forks Post Office for 24 years. She had also worked at Howes Dept. Store and Gherkes Dept. Store in Grantsville.

She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Pleasant CEOS for 69 years and NAPUS.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Radabaugh (Duane) and Leota Grimm; three grandchildren, Michael Radabaugh (Brenda), Marcia Swisher (Bobby), Rebecca Stephens (Vernon); three great grandchildren, Amber Long and husband Chris, Tiffany Swisher, and Brittany Stephens; one great-great granddaughter, Mikaela Long.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Kight in 1981; three brothers, Homer, Orin and Arch Atkinson; and sister, Grace Craddock.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. Carroll McCauley and Rev. Rick Metheney will officiate. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
