THREE BOTTLES OF COUGH SYRUP - A Martinsburg man held up a drug store at gunpoint this week for three bottles of cough syrup. Police are searching for a suspect for the theft at the Med-Fast Pharmacy in the Berkeley Plaza Shopping Center. The cough syrup was valued at $100 dollars and contained codeine. THIRTEEN HOLD-UPS IN PARKERSBURG - Robbery number 13 has hit a Parkersburg business in just over two months. The robber is on the run. Only one suspect has been arrested and police are hoping surveillance video from this latest crime could help catch their latest suspect. The latest hold-up was by a masked man who entered the Mother Earth Foods store on 19th Street. Police say the suspect held a pistol to the clerks head, demanded money, then took off on foot toward City Park. Luckily the clerk was not hurt, but surveillance video may hurt this robber's chance of getting away.
