KUTE SENTENCED TO ANTHONY CENTER IN METH LAB CASE

Judge David Nibert heard several cases Monday in Calhoun Circuit Court, including a motion for parole for Harold Stutler. That motion was granted, taking Stutler off home confinement for shooting at his brother-in-law in August 2003.

Joseph Paul Kute, 22, of Millstone (pictured left) received a suspended sentence Monday regarding charges he was operating a clandestine meth lab and was sentenced to the Anthony Center for a period of six months to two years. Kute was represented by Drew Patton.

Officers arrested Kute in September, 2005 for operating a clandestine drug lab, possession of a controlled substance, and fleeing from police officers.

Kute ran into the the woods after he had been handcuffed by officers, but surrendered himself to authorities later.

Cheryl Price, who had pled guilty of welfare fraud, was placed on probation for three years. She was represented by Tony Morgan.

The case against Alfred Glen "Bucky" Rose, Jr., who was facing charges related to unlawful assault, was continued to January.

The court determined Eddy Ackley violated terms of his probation, and will be before the court in January for sentencing.
