Krack's new fiddle shop is located a few
miles from Orma, just off State Route 16

Jake Krack returned from Berea College to play
with his friends, including mentor Lester McCumbers

Saturday was open house at Krack's Fiddle Shop on Nicut Road, off State Route 16 at Orma, which proudly advertises "We Fiddle Around." Reed Krack said "We're out in the backwoods, but then most good things are in West Virginia."

The new shop not only does repairs on musical instruments, but carries a selection of instruments, strings, music, CDs, books, accessories and you name it.

Fiddler Jake Krack was in from Berea College for the holiday weekend to meet up with his famous mentor Lester McCumbers, who with a number of other band members had a lengthy jam session, interrupted by a serving of chili and other goodies.

Krack, a graduate of Calhoun High School, has received dozens of honors for his fiddle playing these past years, and has performed at such venues as the Prairie Home Companion to the Kennedy Center.

He has released several CDs of his music ... see   www.jakekrack.com
