BECKLEY SHOOTING LEAVES ONE DEAD - A Thanksgiving Day shooting left one man dead and another behind bars after a long-time feud broke out.

25-year-old Juan Carlos Anguiano of Beckley has been charged with first degree murder of the 28-year-old victim, whose name has not been released.

A passerby found the body of a Hispanic man lying along the side of New River Drive in Sprauge.

He had been shot three times, once in the head. He was taken to Beckley General Hospital where he died early Friday.

Police say the two men had known each other for years and had never gotten along.

During a party Thanksgiving Day, they got into a dispute, and drove to New River Drive to settle the argument.

Police indicated the victim was getting out of the car when Anguiana allegedly pulled a gun and fired.

Police had to bring in a translator to help them interrogate the suspect.
