The first measurable snowfall of the season

Yesterday afternoon it snowed as the temperature dropped, leaving the first barely measurable snowfall of the season.

It was the first of the winter season.

Last night the temperature actually rose from the upper 20s toward the 40s, melting the snow.

Heavy snowfall is covering a number of states, including Ohio and the northern part of WV and the mountainous areas.

Thanksgiving Day will be cloudy with a 50 percent chance of snow showers. Little or no snow accumulation. Cold with highs in the lower 30s. West winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

Thursday night there is a slight chance of snow showers in the evening. Colder with lows around 14.

Friday will see highs in the upper 20s. Friday night it will be cold,lows around 15.

Saturday and Saturday night, cloudy, highs in the mid 40s. Lows in the mid 30s.

Sunday it will become warmer, highs in the mid 50s.
