REPORTS SAY DEER KILL DOWN IN COUNTY

The deer kill appears to be down this year in Calhoun.

Last year there were 731 deer checked the first two days.

This years total for three days is 679.

Brandon Bunner killed a 12-pt. buck, according to Holbert's Store and the Pit Store reported that Sheriff Carl Ballengee killed an 11 pt. buck.

Nelly's General Store at Minnora reported two ll-pt bucks, shot by Randy Perkins and Michael Badgett.

Speedy Mart reported a 12-pt. buck.

Pit Stop, Mt. Zion: 82 total (100 first two days 2004)

Speedy Mart, Arnoldsburg: 179 total (190 first two days 2004)
