CORDER BRIDGE WILL BE REPLACED - Two Additional Bridge Projects Slated

Two Roane County bridges on US 33-119 are on the advanced list to be replaced. The Corder Bridge at the Calhoun-Roane line will be replaced in 2007 at a cost of $1.5 million. The Ruby Bradley Bridge at Spencer's second intersection will be replaced in 2008 at a cost of about $5 million. A Wirt County bridge which has caused the closure of Rt. 14 between Spencer and Elizabeth, will be replaced, a temporary bridge is being installed to open traffic.
